How do I select a college so I can complete the application?

My daughter told me I need to complete the CSS Profile. I started, but now I'm getting this message: “the student has not selected a college that requires my information.” How do I select a college so I can complete the application?

You can't—only the CSS Profile completed by the student enables the college selection option. 

  1. Check with your daughter to make sure she's started her CSS Profile application and selected her colleges and programs.
  2. Check our participation list to make sure at least one school your daughter is applying to requires your information.
  3. It’s possible your application didn’t match your daughter's application. Make sure the information—such as name, email address, date of birth, or address—you've entered about your daughter on the "Getting Started" screen matches the information she entered on that screen in her application.
